Dawn's Story
J. Dawn Rountree (pen name) was born in Tennessee and grew up on a farm. After her marriage, their family moved to Kansas which became home.
In 2000, her husband was diagnosed with kidney cancer, and after a valiant fight, he died at the age of 63. After his death, Dawn was determined to try to make something good from his early death. She found that writing was a good outlet for her grief, and it gave her a new purpose for her life.
She began writing for her local hospice in 2007 and continues until now. She is a newspaper columnist and self-publishes her work through Tootleville Publishing. Dawn is a wife, mother, and grandmother. In her past work, she was a registered nurse and licensed social worker. Her major role now is writing.
